Meet Coach Loree Payne from NAU Women's Basketball Team

With the positive guidance of new female college basketball coach, Loree Payne, the NAU Women’s Basketball team is looking forward to a successful, winning season. After a 10 season losing streak, the Lumberjacks were in need of a quick change in coaching staff. Having a female college basketball coach has allowed this year’s team to practice in a positive and personable light as they prepare for the season. Senior from the NAU Women’s Basketball team, Kenna McDavis has expressed her excitement for the season as she looks forward to the new energy that Coach Loree Payne has already brought to the team. She also thinks that her team will “Surprise a lot of people,” once the season starts. The NAU Women’s Basketball team plans to take full advantage of having such a successful female college basketball coach like Coach Payne, as she shares her knowledge of college basketball from when she was a two-time All-Pac-10 First Team selection from the University of Washington.
